What does DDS Recruit do?
+
DDS Recruit is a dental recruiting team. We run the search end to end for dental practices across the United States — sourcing, screening and introductions — for the clinical and operational roles a practice runs on, with a focus on doctors. It is an experienced dental recruiting team without another full-time hire. About DDS Recruit→
Which roles do you recruit for?
+
Associate dentists, in-house specialists such as endodontists, oral surgeons, periodontists, orthodontists and pediatric dentists, hygienists, office managers, C-level leadership, DSO expansion leads, and succession hires. Each search has its own page describing what we weigh and how it runs. Recruiting services→
Where do you recruit?
+
The United States. Opportunities are nationwide, concentrated in the suburbs and select metros, in private, PPO-based practices and the groups they grow into.
Do you recruit outside dentistry?
+
No. We recruit for dental practices and nothing else. We do not handle general staffing outside dentistry, and we do not do locum or temp-agency placement.
How much does DDS Recruit cost?
+
The model has two parts: a nominal monthly search fee to open the search and make it exclusive, and a success fee — the larger share — owed only when a placement sticks. Exact figures depend on the seat and the depth of the search, and are quoted on the discovery call. How dental recruiting is priced→
How is that different from a contingency or retained recruiter?
+
A contingency recruiter charges nothing up front and takes a percentage of the hire’s first-year compensation once someone starts, but you are one of several clients they are racing to fill, so the incentive is speed and volume rather than fit. A retained search charges instalments across the search, typically regardless of the outcome, so the fee is owed whether or not the seat is filled. Our model sits between the two: a small monthly fee makes the search exclusive and properly worked, and the larger share is owed only on a placement. The three fee structures compared→
Is a job board cheaper than using a recruiter?
+
A job board charges a flat posting fee, owed whether or not anyone suitable applies, and leaves the screening, chasing, scheduling and follow-up with you — weeks of evenings across months of an open seat. A board gives you applicants. We give you a shortlist we can defend, having spoken to every person on it, plus a year of accountability after the hire that a board does not offer. Job board vs volume recruiter vs DDS Recruit→
What does the one-year guarantee cover?
+
If a placement leaves within the first twelve months, we step back in and run the search again at best effort, at no additional charge. How the engagement works→
What is the difference between the search retainer and the deeper dive?
+
The search retainer is for reliable hiring across the team — associates, in-house specialists, office managers, key team members and hygienists — and gives you a steady candidate pipeline across every seat. The deeper dive is for the high-stakes hire you cannot get wrong, and layers culture and practice-fit work on top of the search itself. The two engagement paths→
How do you screen candidates?
+
We source actively rather than waiting on applicants, including people who are not visibly looking and candidates open to relocating. Every person on a shortlist has been spoken to about your practice specifically, and is weighed on three things together: the role, the culture, and the long-term vision of the practice. A candidate who clears all three stays; one who clears only the first does not.
Do you work with DSOs and multi-location groups?
+
Yes. We work with private, PPO-based practices and the groups they grow into, including C-level search and leadership for groups adding locations faster than their current team can absorb them. DSO expansion leadership→
I am a dental professional looking for a role. Can you help?
+
Yes. You can browse the open positions on our job board, or create a candidate profile so we can introduce you to practices rather than leaving you to apply cold. Browse open positions→
What is the recruiter marketplace?
+
It is dentistry’s first recruiter marketplace. Recruiters keep their own clients and their own brand, share candidate flow across the network instead of competing for it, split placement fees on shared work, and get access to shared events and employer relationships. Recruiter marketplace→
Who is behind DDS Recruit?
+
DDS Recruit is part of DDS Affiliates. The team is led by Brian Passell, Ph.D., Practice Culture and Growth Architect at DDS Collective, and Darius Somekhian, founder of DDS Collective. The team→
